According to CoinDesk, the Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump reiterated his commitment in his public speech on Thursday that if he is re elected president, he will build the United States into the cryptocurrency capital of the world. Trump told the audience at a gathering of the Economic Club of New York: "We will not attack future industries, but will embrace them, including making the United States the capital of cryptocurrency and bitcoin." In his one hour long speech, Trump proposed his plan to comprehensively reform the US economy, including reducing regulations and promoting the increase of domestic energy production, if he is granted a second term. Trump added that if elected, he would immediately issue a national emergency statement to increase domestic energy production, and mentioned the need to increase power to continue to develop artificial intelligence industry, as well as maintain the leading position of the US technology industry in the competition with China. Trump also said that he would adopt the proposal of Elon Musk, Tesla's chief executive, to establish a government efficiency committee, which is responsible for auditing the federal government's spending and identifying the waste. Trump also said that he was willing to let Musk lead the new department, and jokingly said that the CEO of the company was "not busy". Musk later commented on Trump's speech on the community platform. He said, "This is very necessary." In another article, he said, "If I have the opportunity, I look forward to serving the United States. No salary, title or praise is required."
